World Expo
In 1986 the Koelnmesse Group was commissioned for the first time by the Ministry of Economics and Technology to stage the German pavilion in Vancouver, Canada, laying the groundwork for Koelnmesse’s unique history as Germany’s EXPO partner.
Ever since then, we have collaborated with our partners to implement creative concepts for presenting Germany to the world and achieving EXPO highlights. In fact, the prize for the best pavilion at EXPO 2005 in Aichi, Japan, went to Germany.
We also beat out the international competition for landing the contract to organize the German pavilion at the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China.
