The German presentation
The next World’s Fair will be held in China from May 1 to October 31, 2010, and Germany will also have a pavilion there. This official participation in the Expo 2010 Shanghai China comes under the responsibility of the Trade Fair department of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) in Bonn. In January 2007, the Ministry commissioned Koelnmesse International GmbH to stage the German Expo presentation in Shanghai.
In March 2008, an expert commission selected the “balancity” concept proposed by Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Pavilion Shanghai. The creative design work on the exhibition concept is being carried out by Milla und Partner in Stuttgart. Schmidhuber + Kaindl in Munich are responsible for the architecture, and NÜSSLI (Deutschland), which is based in Roth near Nuremberg, is currently building the German pavilion in Shanghai.
