Art scene expert and specialist to take over the direction of the leading art fair
The art scene expert and specialist Cornelia Zinken, 29, will become the new director of Cologne Fine Art & Antiques. As a result, she will be responsible for consolidating the successful position of the leading international art fair on the market as well as its further conceptual development.
"We're delighted that Cologne Fine Art & Antiques has gained an expert who is fully at home in the international art market and extremely well networked," says Gerald Böse, Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse.
Cornelia Zinken has worked in the art market since 2003. Most recently she was Director of the International Marketing department of AXA ART Versicherung AG. In this position, she was responsible for all of the insurance company's major partnerships with art fairs. "Thanks to her close cooperation with the various parties involved - especially private collectors - Cornelia Zinken understands the requirements of art fairs and the challenges they face. I'm convinced that she will be able to continue to build on the success that Cologne Fine Art & Antiques has enjoyed in recent years," says Koelnmesse's Chief Operating Officer Katharina C. Hamma.
Cornelia Zinken succeeds Ulrike Berendson, who has left Koelnmesse to take on new responsibilities outside of the art business.
